From the sweeping skylines of Toronto to the thundering thrills of the Niagara Falls, you'll be equally inspired by both the natural elements and urban areas of this striking part of the world. Along the way you'll stay at the best hotels, including the Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa and Fairmont Le Château Frontenac in Quebec City, both praised for their decadent décor and prime locations.

Back in Toronto, you’ll explore and ascend to the top of the CN Tower for panoramic views of this iconic city. Travel along stately University Avenue to see Ontario’s Parliament buildings, Queen’s Park and the Royal Ontario Museum. The rest of the evening is at leisure, so whether you want to check out the local restaurants, head to Eaton Centre to shop or visit the pride of Canada, the Hockey Hall of Fame, the choice is yours.

  3. Day 3

Reminiscent of a French chateau, this stunning accommodation offers breath-taking views of the St Lawrence River and Old Quebec. You’ll meet a retired member of the renowned Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Hear fascinating tales of what it’s like to wear the famous red serge uniform. In the evening, you are invited to a Highlight Dinner with wine at the Courtyard Restaurant. Trip: please see summary on write up

Service: Our tour director Ben was amazing! The small touches like free water, candy, donuts, cheese and crackers, etc... were that extra touch that also made a difference. Our driver Eugene was awesome as well. He drove safely and smoothly. This was a wonderful trip with beautiful hotels and tasty breakfasts. I would like to make a couple of suggestions. The stop in Kingston was nothing out of the ordinary. The town was quite dead with nothing really to do in our short time there. Also, I expect that dinners for Luxury Gold would include more than just 1 glass of wine if requested. We were charged $5.00 for our 2 glass of wine. We had bottles set on our tables in restaurants we dined at with other Insight/Trafalgar tours that were not Luxury Gold. I thought it was rather odd that we were limited at two of the restaurants we dined in. I would also have really appreciated more assistance when we asked about locations to get our money exchanged versus just being told an address where we didn't know how to find.

Trip: Well organised, well thought and directed by an extremely capable tour director

Service: Hello We do not hesitate to send complaints, but we fail to appreciate enough when it is due. This email is to Send words of appreciation for MR Ben Hutchinson tour director for the LG EASTERN CANADA TOUR(6TH OCT START) Ben has shown his leadership with flying colours. He has successfully transferred his knowledge of Canada: history, politics, finance, natural beauty, geography, music, culture, culinary feats, Canadian product etc etc. I have learnt about Canada in this tour more than what I would have covered in my normal busy of life. He has articulated them so wonderfully, he deserved to be congratulated for that. Some of the adjectives that should be used to describe him: courteous, diligent, exuberant, frank, gregarious, impartial, intuitive, inventive, passionate about his work, practical, rational, reliable, resourceful, sensible, witty and the list is not exhaustive. I have travelled with Trafalgar, Insight and Insight L/GOLD for more than 10 times and he is the best director that I have encountered. He never failed to deliver his excellence during any part of the tour. Together with his driver Eugene he was able to satisfy my need with utmost satisfaction. Please pass on my sincerest thanks and congratulations to him and I can say with conviction that he is a great asset to your company and hope he will be recognised within your company well.

Trip: Great itinerary, with lots of interesting places to see, all included in the price. Some days were quite long, but there were plenty of breaks. Guide Max was excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable. Driver Evgheny was very careful, safe and polite.

Service: Amazing escorted tour of Eastern Canada, well organised, with excellent guide Max and driver Evgheni. Three of the hotels were excellent, as expected: Omni King Edward in Toronto, and the Fairmonts in Ottawa and Quebec. Unfortunately the last hotel, the Fairmont in Montreal, was very disappointing, tiny bathrooms and small rooms, with poor breakfast service and long queues. The four diners included in the price were OK, but not Michelin *. The best were at the Omni Toronto, Ottawa Courtyard and Isle d'Orleans restaurants, with the final farewell dinner at Gibby's in Montreal being quite disappointing - the group was squeezed into a small room and had to leave by 9 pm as another group was arriving! So change the last hotel and dinner and you will get 5*s!.

    TRIP:
    SERVICE:

Trip: Liked everything but Kingston. It was not that charming and I would have MUCH preferred a water tour of Thousand Islands. With more information and coordination, I would have taken this tour on my own rather than walk around town or shop. We needed more free time in Ottawa and Quebec. I needed more information on tours I could take on my own in these cities. For example, I did not know that the carriage rides were informational tours, and I even asked the Quebec guide that boarded our bus.

Service: Our tour guide Ben was excellent. He was entertaining on the long drives, and when we arrived at a hotel, we were entertained in various ways until our rooms were ready.

Trip: Itinerary was okay, however, there was too much bus time from one city to another

Service: Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, the coach driver was very nice also The major problem we had was too little time from getting checked into our hotels (rooms weren't ready) to having to be back down in the lobby to board coach for dinner. Too much rushing, not enjoyable😕😟
